Aquatic Mammals journal is currently indexed at the following locations (alphabetical order):
Journal Impact FactorRecently, the journal has had several discussions with representatives from Thomson Reuters, the organization that handles calculation of the Journal Impact Factors for scientific journals through Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and ISI Web of Science. We have confirmed details related to the journal’s acquiring an Impact Factor. The journal is currently undergoing evaluation by Thomson Reuters’ Editorial Development Department for inclusion and citation tracking in JCR and ISI Web of Science. Once we are provided with an Impact Factor, researchers who require this in order to calculate their personal h-index or who otherwise need to track Aquatic Mammals via ISI Web of Science will be able to do so. Reuters’ Editorial Development could provide us with an Impact Factor as early as October 2010. Please note that Aquatic Mammals is currently already covered/indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge, Reuters Master Journal List, BIOSIS, and ISI Web of Science; however, we will not receive an Impact Factor and have our citations tracked in ISI Web of Science until the evaluation is complete. Other measures of impactAquatic Mammals h-index = 16; g-index = 21; AW-index = 14.33.
Compare these values to other mammalian science journals below:
Journal of Mammalogy h-index = 59 g-index = 82 AW-index = 37.25
Marine Mammal Science h-index = 37 g-index = 49 AW-index = 30.05 Latin American Journal of Aquatic Mammals h-index = 5 g-index = 5 AW-index = 3.50
