Q. Why should I subscribe to Ingenta Connect when I can access free back issues of the journal online?
A. Aquatic Mammals releases free electronic back issues only for manuscripts over one year old. For the most recent electronic manuscripts, a subscription to Ingenta is recommended.
SUBSCRIPTION QUESTIONS
Q. May I purchase a single print issue or CD?
A. Absolutely. Single past print issues are available for 15 USD + shipping. CD issues (full manuscripts in .pdf format) are available for 12 USD each. Check out our shopping cart for availability or contact Gina Colley.
Q. I need a copy of only one Aquatic Mammals manuscript. How can I receive/purchase it?
A. Aquatic Mammals is dedicated to spreading knowledge in the scientific community. Many articles are available online through our "Back Issues" page. If you are in need of a single journal article not on our webpage, you may e-mail us. There will likely be no charge for the .PDF file. Please include the article title, author name(s) and issue/volume number in your e-mail.
Q. I have never received issue #___ in the mail.
A. Standard mail (especially sent outside of North America) can take 3-4 weeks. Please contact Emily Walter if you believe you are outside of this window.
Q. I have never received or lost my Ingenta Connect username/password.
A. Contact Gina Colley with your full name, country of residence and e-mail address. She will inform you of your subscription status and any missing information.
Q. Can I pay for my subscription with my American Express® card?
A. At this time, we do not accept American Express® as payment for a subscription.

Q. I submitted my manuscript/revisions several weeks ago and have not heard anything. What is the status of my manuscript?
A. Please check the Manuscript Status page for your reference number. If you were never contacted by the editors and given a reference number, we recommend you resubmit your manuscript.
Q. What is my manuscript reference number?
A. Please e-mail Emily Walter with your name and title of your manuscript for a reference number.
Q. If I submit my manuscript electronically, do I need to send a hard copy in the mail?
A. No hard copy is necessary, unless there are figures and tables that did not properly transmit electronically.
Q. Do I need permission from the Editors to reprint part or all of my article?
A. No, authors receive a .pdf of the final galley proofs and are free to distribute the information in any way they like.
Q. Can color photos or figures be published in Aquatic Mammals?
A. Yes, but the Editor will obtain a price quotation from the printer and the authors are expected to pay the entire cost for color printing materials.
